The web has revolutionised commerce and advertising. The companies we as consumers choose to do business with online (as well as some we don’t) know more about us than ever before. How safe is our data in the hands of these corporations? What choices do we have about who collects data about us and where that data ends up? Is privacy dead? Or is there another way?

Chair: Jim Killock (Executive Director, Open Rights Group)
Speakers: Peter Bazalgette (Media consultant and digital investor)
Caspar Bowden (Chief Privacy Adviser, Microsoft EMEA)
Wendy Grossman (journalist, blogger and folk singer)
  Iain Henderson (founder, Mydex.org)
David Smith (Deputy Information Commissioner (Data Protection), ICO)
