Unlock Democracy is the UK’s leading campaign for democracy, rights and freedoms. It was formed out of the merger of Charter 88 and New Politics Network in November 2007.
It is a non-aligned organisation that seeks a democratic participative process resulting in a written constitution that serves and protects the people.
Unlock Democracy sponsored a parallel session which asked How do we stop rights and freedoms being a political football? It was chaired by Unlock Democracy’s Director Peter Facey.
