PLEASE NOTE: THIS IS JUST FOR THE RECORD – THE CONVENTION ON MODERN LIBERTY NO LONGER EXISTS AS AN ORGANISATION.
Please join us in your own way
The aim of the Convention on Modern Liberty is to bring together a wide and growing range of concerns about the state of fundamental rights and freedoms in this country and publicise the work of the many individuals, groups and organisations deeply involved with them from across the political spectrum. We hope this will generate a wider release of energy among the public that may assist the growth of a movement to take back what has been lost and to help shape a Modern Liberty capable of securing individual and collective freedom at a time of profound uncertainty and change.
We are an ad hoc alliance not an organisation. The Convention has been built up with little resources and we are aware that others should be included. We will be as inclusive as possible in what we do. We are keen to link up with all other relevant discussions and publicise them. If you work for an organisation that shares our aims and would like to be added to our list of partners we encourage you to get in contact with us to discuss how we can work together. We are very interested to hear any ideas you may have on the project and how you would like to see it grow.
We hope that everyone who wants to put their name to an expression of our shared concern whether they can make the day itself or not, will be able to do so.
