Session Info

The Right is traditionally strong on issues of personal liberty. But conservative thinkers and policy makers are much less certain when it comes to rights and whether to support universal human rights. With the Tory Party the favourites to form the next government, this session will host a debate between conservative panelists about the aspirations and principles of their views and thinking about fundamental rights and freedoms.

Chair:  Iain Dale (blogger, publisher Total Politics)
Speakers:  Philip Blond (Professor of Theology and Philosophy, University of Cumbria and writer)
Edward Garnier QC MP (Shadow Minister for Justice)

Tim Montgomerie (founder and editor, ConservativeHome)
